The FECAFOOT Normalisation Committee has decided to part ways with the winner of the 2017 AFCON. Hugo Broos is no longer the coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. His contract was terminated Monday following a resolution of the Normalisation Committee, which currently manages the day-to-day affairs of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fécafoot). The Belgian technician leaves the Cameroonian team two months from the end of his contract (February 2018) Broos is accused of failing to qualify the Indomitable Lions for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Arrived at the helm of the indomitable Lions in 2015, the former Club Brugge coach unexpectedly won the 2017 AFCON with Cameroon but reports also have it that he’s failed to respect clauses of his contract amongst which is his long stay abroad when he’s expected to be in Cameroon. His replacement is not yet announced.
